Hello friends! After months of searching, I finally found a fantastic location to open my studio! What does this mean to you? It means more options! It also means fun and exclusive events for my clients. I'll roll out more details as we get closer to the grand opening, which should happen in late April. I don't have a sign up yet, but keep an eye out for it on Highway 17 (George Washington Memorial Highway) in between Victory and Lakeside/Oriana. I can't wait to share sneak peeks of the space once we get some work done
(*Read until the end... there is a surprise!* ) Here it is, the promised announcement... okay, before I tell you, I want to be clear that I am still taking clients and will continue to do so in Northern Virginia and Washington DC. So the big news is: we're moving! As most of you know, my husband is on active duty in the Air Force. He was recently promoted, and this means we have to move. Fear not! We aren't going very far. We are so fortunate to be going to our first choice, and a place we were previously assigned. We will be a mere 2.5-3 hours away at Langley Air Force Base, which is in Hampton Roads, Virginia. While this is really tough for me to take from a business standpoint, it is great news for our family and I am really excited about the possibilities for my business in that area. What does this mean for my clients? It means I will be scheduling sessions through May 13. At that point, I will be taking a break. I will resume sessions in Hampton Roads on July 14. I will be making regular trips back to the Metro DC area for various business and personal functions, as well for my assignment in the Air Force Reserve, which is here in this area. I will make announcements as to when I will return and when I am available. If you have a request, please let me know at least three weeks in advance and I will try to get you on my calendar. At this time, I do not anticipate charging travel fees as long as I can make it work to have several sessions/functions over one trip. In the meantime, I have been so thrilled to work with the many wonderful clients, photographers and other professionals in this area. I appreciate every one of you and the support you have given me. Now, for one last surprise... I will be giving away an entire session and over $500 in products to ONE lucky Hampton Roads resident! Details coming soon. Who do you know in Hampton Roads? Please share this with them so they can follow me and have a chance to win! The National Park Service has moved peak bloom to March 20-23! So on the morning of Tuesday, March 20, I will be holding mini-sessions in a beautiful, nearly tourist-free area of cherry trees. Mini-sessions are 20 minutes long and I schedule them every 30 minutes. These are great for children, families with older children, or couples. Please contact me ASAP if you are interested. Obviously, these are a little more difficult to schedule in the DC metro area, so here is how it will work: if you are interested in winter wonderland photos, email me at info@timorahbeales.com or fill out my Contact Form to get your name on the Snow Session List. When I see a weather report for snow, I will start at the top of the list to schedule. If the first person is not available, I work my way down the list to find someone who is. If you aren't available, you don't lose your spot on the list for next time. Snow sessions will occur at a location within Fairfax County or DC, to be determined at the time we schedule it. Snow sessions are great for couples, engagements or families whose children are all over the age of two. Please understand that most of the images will be candid and fun since the options for posing, particularly in seated positions, will be limited. The list is first come, first served, so please email me your name, phone number and the names and ages of those to be photographed. I'm really excited about doing these so BRING ON THE SNOW! As many of you know, my husband will soon be leaving on a deployment. While I am, of course, very sad he will be away from our family, I am thankful to have photography and my clients to keep me busy during his absence. (hmmmm, because my children don't keep me busy? ha ha!) However, having one less parent for childcare duties means I need to reduce the hours I am available to work. Effective immediately, evening and weekend sessions will be severely limited. I will still occasionally schedule them because I know some people truly cannot make it happen on weekdays, but those available sessions will fill up quickly so I suggest booking immediately if you need one. Newborn sessions will only be scheduled during the week (Mon-Fri) since they are often very long sessions. Furthermore, I will be unavailable June 10-20 as we spend our last days together as a family before he leaves. Thank you all for your patience and understanding.
